What is Forest School? Who is this training for?

Forest School is a long term project focused on bringing adults and children out into the woods, in every season. Trained Forest School Leaders bring people regularly to a natural, usually woodland  environment over a long period of time. The group gets to totally immerse themselves in the experience and exercise body, mind and heart in nature. Free play, risk taking, awareness games, bushcraft, woodland skills and plant knowledge are all part of this experience.

Earth Force Education is hosting the first Southern Irish Forest School Level 3 Leadership Training Course this September 2013 in Wicklow, training is delivered by Huathe and Circle of Life Rediscovery. Places are limited to 20 for the training programme.

If you want to know more about the Forest School Level 3 Leadership Training, please join us on Monday, 27th May from 5.30 to 7.30pm at the Science Gallery, Dublin City Centre, beside Pearse St. Dart Station. There will be a presentation at 6.30pm by Elizabeth Appleton from Huathe, one of the trainers, followed by a Q&A session.
