Women’s Wildcraft Weekend 27-29th September
Ciara says: “My intention is to encourage women of all ages to explore what it is like living in nature. Over time we can learn how to live well with very little, however I believe the first step to deepening our skills and confidence is to have a supportive and fun environment to learn in.
I will show you how to set up a shelter, teach you bushcraft basics to increase our ability to “live well” outdoors. My focus is less on “survival”, and more on feeling confident and comfortable in the outdoors.”
Content includes: games and routines that deepen our connection to nature, wood-carving to make a spoon and/or bowl, tracking wildlife and learning about bird language, fire making and tending, harvesting wild-plants for food, medicine and cordage, shelter and camp set-up. The pace of this weekend will be varied, and to some extent flexible, with optional sessions.
This is a fun and friendly place for us to gather and create a safe space to allow creativity to flow.”
From Natasha, one of the participants on our July Womens’ Camp, “Many thanks for a wonderful womens bushcraft weekend. It was a fun and relaxing introduction to bushcraft. The weekend for me not only combined the learning of outdoor skills, explored nature connection but maintained a relaxed pace allowing time to sit around the fire, share songs, stories and tonnes of fabulous food.”
